Ashtanga Yoga Shala -Yogasanas Budapest - was a pioneering Yoga Studio in Budapest which has grown into a community of yogis, both past and present, from all over the world. It is now in it's 5th year.  

TOM HOPPEL - Tom has studied the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga tradition with Pattabhi Jois, Sharath & Saraswati Rangaswamy, Sheshadri  & BNS Iyengar. He received two Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teaching Certificates from BNS, a direct student of Sri Krishnamacharya's. 

Tom opened Ashtanga Yoga Shala - Yogasanas Budapest in May 2004. He was recently introduced to Manju Pattabhi Jois, by Eric Powell, and assisted Manju at his workshop in Budapest. He also completed Manju's teacher training in Berlin.

Tom teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa Krama & Beginner classes based on what he has been taught by the masters of Mysore, and is especially grateful to Manju Jois for his recent encouragement and trusting friendship. He teaches in English.

 

JULI KEPES - Juli has been teaching and practicing the Alexander Method for over 12 years. Juli started her practice and trained to teach the Alexander Method in California. The Alexander Method's focus is physical movements to promote rehabilitation & improve breathing. Juli teaches in English and Hungarian. For more information: Juli  (30) 488-0948

REKA SCHULTEISZ - Teaches private and mat Pilates classes in the Buda studio. Reka has been teaching and practicing Pilates extensively for more than a decade. She is also a trained Alexander Method teacher. She is now teaching classes Monday thru Thursdays. Mat session Pilates class w/props, balls, etc. Reka teaches in English and Hungarian. WILLIAM THEO - William has been doing Practical Buddist Meditation workshops at Yogasanas Budapest for about a year and a half. He has an extensive background and training in Tibetian Buddism. He has his degree in Eastern studies from an American University and has studied and practiced meditation for 15 years. He continues his studies at Dzogchen retreats with various lamas each year. Expect a lot of great practical information and great insight from his workshops. William teaches in English.

More teachers will be joining the studio in Buda and listed shortly; their classes added to the schedule.
